Our new major research university has boldly been established encompassing over 3.5M people in a 150-mile-wide region. The UTRGV College of Engineering and Computer Science offers course work and cutting-edge research with international impact. The College of Fine Arts is the heart of performing and fine arts at UTRGV. It is home to the School of Art| School of Music| and the departments of dance| theatre and creative writing where we prepare our students for productive careers and life in the arts. Welcome to The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley College of Liberal Arts. With 11 academic departments| two freestanding degree-conferring programs| over 300 faculty members| almost 8|000 students| and a multitude of service courses needed by every student enrolled at UTRGV| the College of Liberal Arts is| by far| the largest and most diverse college at UTRGV.

With over 182 faculty and 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students, we are the third-largest college in UTRGV. Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship
The programs offered at the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship (VCoBE) have been carefully designed with the purpose of helping students gain a well-rounded understanding of the various facets of the business world. The material is reinforced through research assignments| which serve to clarify relevant dimensions and prepare students to address key decisions in innovative ways. Furthermore| academic-level standards have been set high in order to offer students the opportunity to develop integrative| critical thinking| leadership and communication skills and to acquire an ample base of technical skills required for their profession.

The School of Nursing was created with a vision to educate professional nurses to provide quality nursing care to the residents of the Rio Grande Valley, the State of Texas, and beyond. Surrounded by faculty who are experts in their nursing practice specialty they provide innovative pedagogies to actively engage students in their own learning and professional development. University College
First Year Experience is to help students in the Rio Grande Valley make a successful transition from high school and two-year institutions to UTRGV and to make strong progress through the end of their bachelor's degrees and beyond. We are committed to providing the tools students need to flourish.
